Is this legit?
Fair to ask. You pay nothing until you've seen your finished site and said yes. Checkout runs through Stripe, and you can email us any question before deciding.
How did you get my email?
From your business's public listing or website. If you'd rather not hear from us, say so once and we'll stop, and we'll take down any preview we made.
Do I own the website?
Yes. Your domain, words and photos are yours. If you leave, we hand over the site files and help move your domain at no charge.
What's the $49 a month for?
Hosting, security, backups, keeping it fast, and small changes whenever you need them: hours, prices, photos, a new service. Email us and it's done within 2 business days.
How much does a small business website cost?
Ours is $495 once plus $49/month for hosting, security and edits. Or $0 down and $99/month for the first year. Freelancers typically charge $1,500 or more for a similar site.
Can you change the design?
Absolutely. The preview is a starting point. Two rounds of changes before launch are included, and small edits after launch are covered by the care plan.
How long does it take?
Usually live within a week of getting your logo, a few photos and some details.
Is it made with AI?
Partly, and we're upfront about it. We use AI tools heavily to design, build and handle email. That's how we can build first and keep prices low. A person reviews the work and is accountable for it.
I already have Facebook. Do I need a website?
Keep the Facebook page! A website shows up in Google searches Facebook often doesn't, works for people who aren't on Facebook, and links to your page.
Can I cancel?
Yes, with 30 days' notice. You keep your domain and we give you the site files.
Do you do SEO?
Every site is set up so Google understands it: your services, your town, your hours, structured business details and a sitemap. We can also set up or tidy your Google Business Profile for $149. We don't promise rankings; nobody honest can.
Can I call you?
No. Townlight works entirely by email, so there's no phone line. Write to hello@townlightstudio.com any time and we'll reply within one business day.
Do you build online stores?
Not in our standard plans. We can link to your booking or ordering tool ($99 setup). For a full store, ask us and we'll be honest about whether we're the right fit.
