Family roofers · Marlow, Alabama
Built to shed the storm.
Shingle and metal roofs, storm and leak repair, gutters. Every job starts the same way: a free inspection, and a straight answer.
Six layers between you and the weather
Shingles are only the part you can see. A roof that lasts is the whole stack, six layers laid in the right order, so a replacement should replace everything that needs it.
- 1
Roof deck. The plywood or OSB everything is nailed to. We replace any soft or rotted sheets before anything goes on top.
- 2
Drip edge. Bent metal at the eaves and rakes that throws water into the gutter instead of behind it.
- 3
Ice & water shield. Self-sealing membrane in the valleys and around chimneys and pipes, where leaks start.
- 4
Synthetic underlayment. The second line of defense across the whole deck if a shingle ever lifts.
- 5
Shingles or metal. The weather surface, fastened to the maker's pattern so the warranty holds.
- 6
Ridge vent & cap. Lets hot attic air out along the top, so the roof doesn't bake from underneath.
Two good roofs. Pick yours.
Typical ranges, not promises. Product, attic ventilation and weather all move them. Your inspection gives you real numbers for your house.

No charge, no pressure. One of us climbs up, checks the eight places roofs fail, takes photos, and comes down to show you what we found. Even when the answer is “you're fine.”
Checkpoint 1 of 8
Ridge cap and vents
The top line of the roof takes the most wind. We look for lifted or cracked cap shingles and make sure the ridge vent is breathing, not leaking.
Shingles in the yard? Four boxes to tick before we get there.
Stay off the roof
Wet shingles are slick and storm damage hides soft spots. Keep clear of downed lines and hanging limbs. Look from the ground.
Slow the water inside
Bucket under the drip, move what you can, and take photos of every stain and every shingle on the ground. Dates help later.

Photos for your insurer
We photograph and measure the damage so you have something clear to send your insurance company. Coverage is their call; the facts are ours to get right.
What we do
- Roof replacement. Tear-off to the deck, new underlayment, architectural shingles, ridge vent, haul-away. Usually one to two days on a typical house.
- Metal roofing. Standing-seam panels with hidden fasteners, for homes, porches and shops. They last longer and cost more up front, and we'll go over both numbers with you.
- Storm damage repair. Hail, wind and fallen limbs. Emergency tarping when it can't wait, then a proper repair, documented with photos for your insurer.
- Leak repair. We trace the water back to where it gets in (usually flashing, a pipe boot or a valley) and fix that, not just the stain.
- Gutters. Aluminum gutters with no seams to leak, plus guards, re-pitching and downspouts that carry water well away from your foundation.
- Free inspections. Eight checkpoints, photos of anything we find, and a plain answer. If it only needs a repair, that's what we'll tell you.
The Pruitts, roofers in Marlow. A father, two sons and a son-in-law who still answers the phone himself. The same people come from the first look to the last nail, and we'd rather fix your roof for twenty years than sell you one you didn't need.
